Taking leaves in Japan

For many of Japanese "salary-man" taking leaves can be pain-in-the-ass.
Most people are on some project or routine job but they need to find some time when the project doesn't require them, or personally find some one that can do their jobs.
What I wanna say is that Japanese companies do NOT have he system for people to take leaves.
They also do not have a system of "medical leave" and if they are sick and take a day or two off, it would be deducted from thier paid holiday allowance.

Paid holiday allowance is like annual leaves in some sense but it's quite different.
The allowance are given every half year or so, depending on the company plicy, but because no one really take leaves, it builds up.
Before they leave the company, they will take these leaves.

So when Japanese people have holidays?
Only on public holidays and "obon" period.
There are around 20puhlic holidays in japan and they are organised to make long holidays.
we had two 5day holidays last year but this year there is only one long holiday.

I'm talking about holidays because I am very tired and need to take some leaves!
Gotta go now, reaching work very soon.
Have a nice day everyone:)
