Oyako-Don, "Torimikura"

Oyako-don is a combination of chicken and egg, and Oyako means "parent-child".  It is one of the basic Japanese dish and it's usually a home-made dish or served in a non-expensive restaurants.

This Oyako-don is called "kyukyoku no oyako-don" (the best Oyako-don) and it is very nice.

They use Shamo-chicken and they are tender and soft at the same time!! They are grilled with charcoal and then cooked with plenty of eggs.  I have to say it is quite expensive for an Oyako-don and it is $10(JPY1000) and they seems to serve Yakitori (grilled chicken on stick) at night.  The space is not too big but has an atomosphire that you can relax.  The spices you can add at the table are nice too. They have Shichimi (mix of 7 spicies) , Sansho and natural salt.

The shop is not too easy to find.  You have to go to a little ally way on the opposite side of Franc Fran Aoyama.  They seems to have few other stores in Tokyo but I only been to the one in Aoyama

If you are looking for a place to have lunch in Aoyama area, this is the place to go
