IKEA Parking Lot : Validation
IKEA Tachikawa parking validation has changed since Sept 1st,2021. Now that you have to validate it yourself before heading to your car. There is a machine at parking garage and at the machine you can change the language to English but the process is pretty simple. Choose English on the display, it should be at left top. ask for 4digits of your license plate show you a picture of your car and ask for you to confirm scan the barcode on your receipt That is pretty much it. The receipt could be any value but will not be accepted if it is from the 1st floor bistro. If you do not have receipt, they will charge you \1,000. So sure to but anything, even 99yen plastic bag before you head out. One thing to remember about IKEA Tachikawa, they close the parking early when there is a fireworks at Showa Memorial Park, usually early-mid Aug.
